I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy Valentine’s Day. I hope you all have a wonderful things planned for the day! I for one am going to Arby’s with Jason. Yes, I know, it’s not the most romantic or exciting of locations for a Valentine’s Day dinner, but this week also happened to be my birthday and the “anniversary” of when Jason and I started dating. So to be honest, even I am a bit celebrated out. :-) Jason loves Arby’s, so this celebration can be for him.
In other news, Jason and I seem to have somehow acquired a cat this week. See, on Monday (which also happens to be my birthday) afternoon, I got this message from my Mom…
“Katie it’s your mother, I have an emergency here. I just came out of work and this cat came running in front of me meowing. looks just like Blacky as skinny as skinny can be. I mean he’s literally starved to death this cat. So friendly, and crying to me, and I don’t know what I’m going to do….I can’t leave him and it’s so cold. Do you hear him? I was thinking that maybe you and Jason want to rescue this cat and give it a good home.”
That is verbatim, and it goes on from there. More about how the cat is so skinny and friendly and it’s so cold. Needless to say, I was a sucker and couldn’t say no to that. So now we have a cat here.
Here he/she is…
You can kind of see how skinny he is in this one, although he’s definitely already put on some weight from when we got him. I’m certainly glad that he’s not out in the cold anymore. It would be nice if he would stop growling and hissing at Mac, but other than that he seems to be getting along fine.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful, love filled Valentine’s day! …and I hope your celebration is as good as my Arby’s dinner. ;-)
YAY! so cute! No name yet? I guess you’re waiting to take it to the vet and discover if it’s a he or she?
name it gable.
