Megan and John had an awesome wedding in Center City Philadelphia. However, in the weeks leading up to it, I became OBSESSED with the weather forecast. I checked weather.com daily, sometimes multiple times, seeing nothing but large puffy, rain filled clouds hovering over their wedding date. Things were not looking good…so I scouted out a whole backup plan in case the rain came without a brake and we were relegated to only indoor locations. Luckily, apart from some sprinkles, it was all perfect! Every detail was perfectly planned out in advance and suited Megan and John to a t. I was so happy to get to be a part of it. :-)
Here are just a few of my favorites.
Megan had a real classic elegance about her. Everything about her look fit together perfectly.
The dress! I love seeing how each bride’s dress fits their personality. Everyone kept saying that this dress was just so perfectly Megan. I love it! It was the first and only one she tried on which is pretty incredible. This is on the short walk from Loews to the church before the wedding.
The ceremony was entertaining and touching.
John’s dad welcomed Megan to the family after the ceremony.
A few months before the wedding date, the church began a renovation project on the outside of the building. As a result, it was completely (and I do mean completely) covered in scaffolding. We all agreed that we had to capture that with some formal photos.
…then the rain FREE formals around the city.
The reception at the Crystal Tea Room was just gorgeous.
Megan’s dad was hysterical. This one cracks me up.
I loved Megan and John’s idea of putting photos from both of their parent’s weddings on either side of the cake…appropriately, photos of the cake cutting.
The reception was really too much fun. This is just a taste. :-)
I really can’t say enough what a great time I had being a part of Megan and John’s wedding. It was an awesome day and I’m so glad I was there to capture it. :-)
I love these! Favs include the bustle picture, the tongues at eachother, the reception shot of her father and the final one. They look like such an awesome couple and I LOVE the idea of showing their parents’ cake cutting photos next to the cake!
Awesome job again Katie!
I love all of these! What an adorable couple. It looks like such a fantastic wedding and you captured SO many great moments! I too love the bustling shot! And all the reception ones. Beautiful job as usual!! :-)
These are awesome. The room that they had their reception in was magnificent, and I love all the photos from the City especially the black and white ones. That really compliments the architecture.
Truly a fabulous day. Megan and I truly believe that Katie (and Emily) grabbed EVERY moment. I can not express in words how fantastic these pictures are. Real…colorful…beautiful…alive.
Just what we wanted. Thank you so much.
