Conshohocken Family Photographer | Fall

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This post is a little bit later than I’d intended. Unfortunately, a sick, non-sleeping kiddo resulted in no time for blogging. Still, I’m super thankful for that kiddo, and the other one that seemed to dominate the majority of these photos with her big personality.

This September, Florence started school and it was more emotional than I’d anticipated. For the first time, she spends hours each day away from me, and she can choose to not tell me anything about her day! Fortunately (and sometimes, unfortunately) she LOVES to talk. So I hear lots about her school days. It was an adjustment, but she loves it now, which makes me so very happy.

The majority of these photos are of our day to day routine, and I notice the little differences over time. Florence insists on dressing herself now and helps to set the table at dinner time. Julia started crawling and went from taking a bath in the sink, to in the bathtub with Florence. Florence is beyond thrilled with this change. We also went to Freddy Hill Farm for Florence’s first field trip and to Linvilla Orchard. This is the first year that Florence really seemed to appreciate all of the fun activities that Fall has to offer, which I in turn appreciate.

My very favorite thing about these photos though, is the connection that you can see between Julia and Florence. Florence is definitely Julia’s favorite person and she laughs even when Florence is being just a little too rough with her. I just love watching them become friends.

Conshohocken Documentary Photography | Summer

I am quite behind in sharing our family photos. Documenting our family’s day-to-day activities is one of my very favorite things to do, but it also means that I end up with A LOT of photos. So I’m taking today and tomorrow to share all of my favorites from Summer (today) and Fall (tomorrow). A pretty appropriate way to celebrate Thanksgiving in my opinion. Lots to be thankful for in this post.

As usual, Summer went by too fast. In fact, looking through this post, it is hard for me to believe that these photos were taken months ago at this point! We went on a very exciting trip to Florida and Disney World, but the majority of the season was spent at home, relaxing and playing. Florence continues to be feisty, most especially with her fashion choices (see below) and a master puzzler. Julia continues to be the happiest, frowny faced baby around, who is a terrible sleeper almost all of the time.

It is worth noting that in Disney World, Florence got to meet almost every one of the Princesses. She probably considers this to be her biggest life achievement to date. Just look at her face in those photos! *Sigh*

Julia’s big life achievement of the Summer was trying solid foods, which I think you can tell from her face, was not initially quite as big of a hit as meeting the princesses was for Flo. She has since warmed to the notion. Also…thighs.

Miss Jules is four months old today! That obviously means that it’s been four months since she made her debut, but it’s hard to believe. It feels like it was just yesterday and at the same time, forever ago. She continues to be a delightful little baby nugget and Florence continues to be completely in love with her. This is just a little sample of what we’ve been up to over the last couple of months. You might notice that I am in one!!! It’s my yearly mother’s day shot that I make Jason take…an annual reminder that I am here even though I’m usually behind the camera and not in front of it. :-)

Happy Friday!

The weather these last couple of weeks…perfection. So as one does with a new baby, we go for walks every morning and sometimes after Flo’s nap in the afternoon too. Flo loves our stops in the park, especially if there happens to be a little friend there, and Julia just sleeps, and sleeps and sleeps and sleeps. I know Summer will come and then it will be sticky and kind of miserable outside (at least in my opinion – Summer is not my preferred season), so I’m enjoying these days while I can. <3
