I love this couple and LOVE their engagement session. Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge alone at dawn to meet them…I’m not going to lie, it was a little scary … but totally worth it. :-) I can’t wait to share more.

A few weeks ago I spent some time with Michelle and James exploring Kelly Drive and the Fairmount Park area of the city for their engagement session. We had a great time and James even saved a fish who had been washed upstream after Michelle noticed him flopping around…which of course made me like them all the more. I’m a sucker for animal rescues. :-)
They are so fun and playful with each other and it was my pleasure to be able to capture that for them. I think even in the pictures you can tell what a great time they have together. I love that!
I couldn’t resist all of these gorgeous flowers. I think the cute couple in the middle of them really stole the show though. :-)
Working it. As many people pointed out from the preview photo…doesn’t Michelle just have THE most beautiful hair!?
I asked them to walk towards me and instead they conspired to run at full speed. Tricky these two.
So, so happy.
I can’t wait for the wedding in December! :-)
Yesterday I spent some time with Sam and Brad. I’ve known Sam for quite a few years now, and she is just incredibly sweet. I was sooooo happy when she wanted to book me for her wedding next May. I only met Brad for the first time yesterday and it turned out to be a great “getting to know you session.” I’ll share more of this session soon but I just wanted to put up a quick preview since I know Sam is anxious to get a look. :-)
A couple of weeks ago, I spent a chilly couple of hours with Erin and Travis at the Jersey Shore…Wildwood to be exact. Erin has been going to Wildwood with her family since she was a little girl and this session actually kicked of a bit of a vacation for her and Travis there. With all the rain we’ve had lately, it was a happy surprise to not only have no rain…but a good amount of sun too.
Erin had lots of ideas for the session, which I loved. We started things off at Kohrs Brothers with some ice cream. Then we wandered along the Boardwalk for a bit and down to the beach.
They were so cute together. :-)
It may have been chilly, but the weather definitely made for some pretty skies.
I loved that every time Travis kissed the side of Erin’s head, she got this giddy happy smile on her face. So I made him do that a lot.
Did I mention the pig? :-) Early on in the session, Erin and Travis played a game on the Boardwalk and they won this pig. So he tagged along with us for the rest of the session and I had to include him for a bit.
I told Erin we were in search of color and she spotted this umbrella. So happy!
…and some boardwalk fun.
Such a pleasure hanging out with these two. I can’t wait for their wedding in August. :-)
SO awesome! What a cute couple! And the bridge is a perfect backdrop – it looks fabulous! Can’t wait to see the rest! :-)
It’s such a magical time to be on the bridge and you definitely captured that. The lines dissecting throughout the picture frame are so exciting! What a lovely and lucky couple to have you to do their shoot there!
Picture looks awesome. Totally worth it right? :)
Katie, I LOVE this shot of Weezie and Rod! I am so glad you are photographing their wedding… they are a great couple! See you in November and congrats on your engagement!
