In Home Documentary Family Session | Little but Loud

Whenever I do a shoot for Lauri and her family, I feel a little extra nervousness and excitement. Aside from being my very awesome friend, she is such a talented photographer. I always want to make sure that I give her images that are as lovely as the photos she has taken of my family. Luckily, her kids are so cute and her family is so loving that it makes my job easy. We always have fun and I just love my sessions with them.

We decided to start out this shoot with some in home documentary photos, capturing a bit of their daily routine. The kids played on the swing set, in their play car (the cutest thing ever), they made stone soup, and colored. Afterwards, we also headed out to the most beautiful riverbank that I’ve ever seen for some more posed photos. I will save those photos for another day.

These are a few of my favorites for my time at home with these cuties.

Bryn Mawr Newborn Photographer

One of the best things about my job is getting to watch families grow. I first photographed these guys when their oldest baby girl was brand new. I was enormously pregnant myself and Florence was born just a couple of months later. I also photographed them when big sister was a year old (one of my favorites) and then again when they welcomed baby number two. Every time I see them, it is both as if a ton has changed and no time has passed at all.

These kids have become so sweet and funny as they’ve grown from babies into little people in front of my camera. I loved spending time with them, playing and reading and talking, watching the way the two oldest have become friends and how taken big sister is with her newborn sister. Their newest addition seemed almost as if she’d always been there. She slept and snuggled and slept some more. It would be pretty fortunate if she stayed as laid back and sweet as she was during our session. She was an absolute doll.

These are some of my favorites from our time together. It was such an honor to document such a happy time for this lovely family.

Oh gosh this series! Big sisters pouty lip when her brother rejected her attempt at holding hands both cracks me up and breaks my heart. She is such a little sweetheart.

Valley Forge Family Photographer | Storytime in the Park

Over the Summer, we were lucky enough to have a visit from this awesome family. I have known Alissa forever, since we lived on the same hall freshman year of college. She actually met her husband, Roman, at a New Year’s Eve party at my house almost ten years ago. Three years ago, we made the trip to Italy to help celebrate their wedding. Even though I talk to Alissa by text almost daily, this visit was the first time that I got to meet the newest addition to their family, Teo! Honestly, I didn’t need to see her as a mom to imagine it though. She’s a natural, and obviously completely smitten with her charming little guy. And having officially met him now, I can attest to the fact that he is charming.

We set out to Knox Estate at Valley Forge Park early one morning of their visit for a little lifestyle photo session. It was so much fun to watch Alissa and Roman interact with Teo. I loved seeing the way they made him laugh and the way that he looked at him with his big blue eyes. Did I mention that the camera loves him? It does. Those eyes and the hair and the whole adorable package. Love.

These are a few of my favorites from our time together. I so wish they lived closer and I already can’t wait for our next visit.

Princeton Maternity Photographer | Tehrune Orchard

I love this little Princeton maternity session from the Summer. I had photographed this awesome family when big sister was just a baby and then again last year. And since this session, I have already photographed their adorable, squishy, sleepy little newborn too. We met at Tehrune Orchard and explored. Did I mention that it was blistering hot out that day (although, when wasn’t it this Summer)? And what pregnant woman doesn’t love walking around on a farm, posing for pictures in the sweltering heat? Actually, no, I am pretty sure the opposite of that is true. I’m fairly certain that no pregnant woman enjoys that. But mom made it happen and also looked beautiful and happy. I think we even had a pretty good time!

These are some of my favorites from our time together. I love big sister’s happy carefree spirit and the photos of her and her mom melt my heart. I could tell even then that she was going to be an amazing big sister and at the newborn session, she did not disappoint. Also, she has some pretty great trampoline moves on her bed.

Full newborn session post coming soon, soon!
