[I’m not even going to comment on what a horrible blogger I’ve been, other than this mention (apology) right here…horrible]
Meet our two new kitties…Phoenix and Dewey! Just before Christmas Jason and I went to Pet Smart to get my Christmas present for him, two cats. They’re actually still babies, under a year old, but they’re full grown. It was EXTREMELY difficult for me to come home with only two since we really liked them all and they’re all deserving of good homes. These two were both really sweet though and they totally won us over. They have very different personalities. Phoenix, who was named because he was almost put to sleep at the SPCA before he was taken in by his foster mom, has been outgoing and crazy from the first day. He’s a daredevil and completely fearless. He has tried to jump on every single high shelf in this house at this point (sometimes unsuccessfully) and if he falls he just jumps again from a different angle. He’s always sitting on us and anyone else who comes to visit [Phoenix right now as I write this…]. Dewey on the other hand, hid under our couch for the first week he was here. haha. He has really come around with us, but any sort of quick movement sends him running for cover. His favorite past-time is sitting in our large potted plant that we have in our dining room. We tell him to get away and two seconds later he’s right back, batting at the leaves and climbing up into the pot. Odd.
Here are just a few shots I’ve taken of them since we’ve had them. I’m afraid that Dewey is under-represented, since usually by the time I get my camera, he has become suspicious of my movements and takes off. He’s getting better though, so I’m sure we’ll get more of him soon.
Phoenix examining the Christmas tree (i.e., batting at Christmas balls).
I have to give Mac some representation too. :-) Did I mention that sometimes Phoenix cleans Mac? The first time Phoenix licked Mac on the ear he whipped his head around, like “ummm….can I help you?” Now he just ignores it.
Now I will share more songs I love (making up for lost time). :-)
Numero Uno:
Sigor Ros – Seaglopur
Love this song…gotta get to the big build.
Numero Dos:
The Weepies – Gotta Have You
I think this song is so sweet. And there’s something charmingly sesame street about the video.
Reminds me of this…A Classic. :-)
Last but not least…this one, which Jason introduced to me a while ago but I was just enjoying today.
Oh, and I cut my hair!!! Donated it to Locks of Love…time for a change. I was going to put a photo of the chopped off braid up here, but there was something creepy about it, like putting up a severed arm or something. So instead a photo of my head and the hair still attached to it. Forgive the crap quality of MAC photo booth.
Yaaaay kitties!! I love the first shot, I think it’s my fav. Did I mention when Mikey and I slept over Dewey was chillin’ outside our door all night? Good ol’ Dewey. haha. And I LOVE the hair! You look so pretty! :-)
I loooooooooooooooooooove your haircut and insist upon seeing more photos! The cats are so cute and I can’t wait till they get to meet their Aunt Alissa!
The kittens are adorable! And I love your hair!!!
